ArcIMS Interactive Mapping Tool

This mapping tool (IMS = Internet Map Server and ARC is a software name) displays interactive maps that we made specifically for the LakeSuperiorStreams and Coastal GIS projects. A user can zoom in and out of maps, with different amounts of detail at different spatial scales. IMS allows different map layers (roads, land use, water bodies) to be turned on or off, to create customized maps.

Detailed Instructions

Wetlands are defined as lands transitional between terrestrial and aquatic systems, where the water table is usually at or near the surface or the land is covered by shallow water. They provide habitat, reduce downstream flooding, and are important to maintaining natural water quality.
