	ArcIMS Interactive Mapping Tool This mapping tool (IMS = Internet Map Server and ARC is a software name) displays interactive maps that we made specifically for the LakeSuperiorStreams and Coastal GIS projects. A user can zoom in and out of maps, with different amounts of detail at different spatial scales. IMS allows different map layers (roads, land use, water bodies) to be turned on or off, to create customized maps. Detailed Instructions

Google Earth - puts a planet's worth of imagery and other geographic information right on your desktop. GIS Data/Information CoastalGIS - Study and explore Lake Superior's North Shore using interactive GIS images developed by the Natural Resources Research Institute.
